Hello everyone! This year, 2020, the Too Hot to Trot 5K is going to be a virtual event. This decision is based on the current COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of everything during this time. We want to be sure that we keep everyone's safety as our first priority. Luv-a-Dad works on a tight budget and I do not want to take the risk of planning an event and putting money into planning and advertising and not be able to execute it. I want to thank everyone in advance for their support and understanding. I hope to make this virtual event as fun and exciting as we can and look forward to returning to an in-person event in 2021.
This year, we will be mailing all participants their water bottle, t-shirt, and goody bag. There will be no meal, vendor booths, after party, or bounce house. You are encouraged to run or walk on any path you like. We will also not be having any finisher awards this year. Since everyone will have their own course and conditions, I believe this should be a non-competitive event. We will still post results after the event is over for all the racers.

The Too Hot to Trot 5K started in 2015. The race hosted about 50 participants its first year and doubled in size the following year. We try to make this event fun and exciting for participants of all ages. The course is weaved through a beautiful neighborhood and well marked. In 2016, an after party was added to the experience. We now have several exhibitors that join us, a bounce house, glitter tattoos, games, and music to enjoy after you finish. All participants enjoy a full meal after the race from The Tavern. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, and water bottle while supplies last. The top male and female finalists are awarded with a beautiful medal to add to their collections and $100 cash. We give awards to the top three places in every age group as well. An award is given to the team which is voted to have the most spirit. We encourage the neighborhood to join the fun and cheer on the racers as they pass by their houses.
All proceeds from this event benefit Luv-a-Dad so that we can continue to financially assist fathers with cancer in our community.
